Agricultural Waste

-- Quote of the Day --

“…We think there are different kinds of love, but in reality there is only one love. …On some level we truly don’t believe we are worthy and we run around finding people and situations that prove us right – that we aren’t worthy of love. …As long as we are holding a grievance, it will block the awareness of love – where all our joy and peace is. …We put a lot of conditions on our love, we say ‘If you don’t do this I’m going to have a grievance against you’…but we need to realize the cost of this – that it is so exhausting. …Love is enormously powerful – a lot of people are deeply afraid of this power.”

We wanted to take some time today to celebrate some of the innovative recycling programs that now exist for people involved in agriculture.

CleanFarms is a world-leading, and world-renowned agricultural waste management company based in Canada, that has had enormous success over the last 2 decades. This non-profit stewardship organization committed to working with farmers, manufacturers, dealers, distributors and municipalities with the aim of achieving environmental responsibility.
According to recent research conducted by CleanFARMS, farmers in Ontario generate more than 14,000 tons of non-nutrient based waste on their farms each year. One of their programs involved the collection of more than 83 million empty pesticide containers and over 1.3 million kilograms of obsolete pesticides. The success of CleanFARMS’ empty pesticide container recycling program has led to new innovative waste reduction programs including other sources of farm plastic waste – such as from bale wrap.
