Recycling

-- Quote of the Day --

"Your life is the sum result of all the choices you make,
both consciously and unconsciously.

If you can control the process of choosing,
you can take control of all aspects of your life.
You can find the freedom that comes from being in charge of yourself."

Recycle Match: Their intent is to make waste a resource by providing an outlet to buy, sell or give away waste and recyclables to those who would see them as a valuable resource. Their system is designed specifically for corporations, municipalities, recyclers, and buyers of high quality commercial waste - enabling buyers and sellers of commercial waste and recyclables to transact business quickly and easily. Check them out... they are open to all reputable companies and individuals involved in the generation, aggregation, recycling, or reuse of large volume waste and recyclable materials:

The Brighton and Hove Wood Recycling Project - http://www.woodrecycling.org.uk - offers something unique for all those old pallets, piles of wood, left over construction and deconstruction wood waste...
According to their site: It is estimated that the UK produces over 10 million tonnes of wood waste each year. Currently more than 80% of that is landfilled, despite the fact that much of it is perfectly reusable. So they set up a Wood Recycling Social Enterprise to find ways to reuse this 'waste'  and help save the world's resources. Staff and volunteers work with local builders, businesses and organizations;  collecting waste wood and then bringing it back to life as a reusable product that is sold in their store. The organization is now able to collect  around 450 tonnes of waste timber a year, and return less than 1% of this to the waste stream. Not only are they saving waste and resources, the organization also generate employment as well as offering volunteer placements.
